Make 2015 an amazing year

So this post is a bit different to my usual recipe posts, but I wanted to write something which will hopefully effect people in a similar way my other posts do.
I can't believe its the last day of 2014! this year has literally flown by... Its definitely been an eventful year to say the least, with a lot of ups and downs.. but the journey that i have been through this year has made me the person i am today and I can honestly say I wouldn't take any of this year back even if i could. So Many amazing people have come into my life this year and I have learnt an unbelievable amount about not only life itself  but about who I am.
Im going to get a bit personal here, but i think its time i get this out in the open, seeing as my recovery has been just whispers, id rather you hear the correct story from me.
Im not going to go into much detail but over this past year I have been battling with recovery for anorexia. I came out of an eating disorders hospital after 6 long months at the beginning of this year and I am happy to say that I am still going strong on the path to mental and physical recovery. The experience of being in hospital changed my persecutive on how I view life, its made me so grateful to be where I am now and to have the experience and knowledge that I do. But it also gave me a hell of a lot of thinking time, which meant a lot of time to de stress and really figure out who i am without the pressure of the world around me.
I am a really strong believer in everything happens for a reason and over the past year that has really shown to be true. I can see how each and every experience I have been through this year has helped me later on in the future. I have learnt that no matter how bad the situation is, you always get something out of it, and that is experience and knowledge which in my eyes is the best kind of education... I may not be the best at maths or business studies but I know that I have my head in the right place to succeed.. and thats all you need in life to be honest... ambitions, goals and strong self belief. You don't necessarily need to be book smart to pursue the future you want... as long as you stick to your beliefs and morals, you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to! nothing is impossible in this life.
If you wake up every single day with a positive mindset and the belief that that day will be amazing and full of new opportunities, then it will... simple as that. change you're thoughts, change your world.
2015 will be the best year of your life if you make sure that it is. open your eyes and see how lucky you are to have what you do, start to be grateful and accepting of the life you have and I promise you your life will get 100 times better. smile because you can, and live this year to the fullest!

Thought Id put down a few of my new years resolutions as well:

- stay vegan all year
- start yoga/ meditation
- work on healing my body
- be more productive
-study hard
- learn to love and accept myself
-read more
- do more of what makes you happy
-keep a positive mindset
- be the best version of myself.

I really feel like 2015 will be a wonderful year that I change my life for the better.
I really hope you all take some of my words into consideration and believe that 2015 can be an amazing year for you as well, it's all up to you.
Happy new year
Rachel x
